Part of John Kelly\’s Dancer series, portraying classical ballet dancers he knows in Paris. Using a dark palette, John suggests an intimate interior feeling. This piece features Clmence Bonin, one of his long time collaborators, and Lucinne Vortisch Sementschenko. The gentle interaction between the two dancers is emphasized by the cascade of light entering from the window, while the before-performance meeting creates a frame of tension.
