Artist Guigen Zha references Salvador Dali in this surrealist scene of Chinese cultural relics. Starlings rest on plum tree branches floating in the dreamy blue sky. On the shadowed steps toward the still water, oriental artifacts glisten in the sunlight. An etched mural of a family appears golden on one side and colored in the shade. Everything in the painting has actually existed in the same space and time, notes Guigen.
