An impressionistic image showing the intensity of foundry work captured by artist Onelio Marrero. Three men busily work at pouring multiple molds with molten bronze. Utilizing a rich layer of impasto, Onelio renders the light that emanates from the crucible and the surrounding materials. With a combination of washes and lose brushstrokes, he effectively conveys the power of the activity and ferocity that goes into casting metal.
