Apartments stack like chapters in a story in this building in Eastern Moscow. In the center, the artist imagines himself mid-thought, a quiet moment of solitude shared with a sleeping cat curled at his feetthough hes never actually owned one. Around him, life unfolds behind thin walls. To the left, a heavy stillness descends. To the right, a neighbor lets off steam after a long shift. Layered with dark humor, bright color, and offbeat charm, the painting reflects on the small dramas and big questions that play out in everyday spaces.
